Amazing Success for the Microbiology Club

The BCGS Microbiology Club has eight regular students and is clearly thriving as they have been successful in their search for bacteria which secrete novel antibiotics!

 

These students in Years 11 to 13 attended the first of 3 sessions at the University of Kent Biosciences Department to use the university facilities to isolate the colonies of interest and culture in preparation for the next visit.

 

There is great excitment around this project so stand by for further updates as they next two sessions take place.
