Gifted & Talented Science Workshop

Barton Court welcomed a group of 43 Year 5 students from the local area to take part in a gifted and talented science workshop.

For many of the students this was their first time in a real laboratory and they were introduced to lots of new equipment and resources.

The students conducted practical work such as how to properly use a Bunsen Burner as well as seeing how different metals react when put in a roaring blue flame. The students  enjoyed the session very much and each one was given a Bunsen burner certificate at the end.
