Y5 Design Technology Workshop
Posted on: 02/10/2018Barton Court welcomed its first group of Year 5 students this year to the Design Technology Enrichment Session.
The session, run by Mrs Cottrell, gave the students a hands on activity in which they were able to design and make their own balloon powered cars! They also had the opportunity to work collaboratively with new peers to problem solve and refine their models until the final test: the race!
The students who had followed advice from both their teacher and their peers and used their thinking tools in the planning stages saw their cars racing ahead of the others, and it was wonderful to see so many excited and intrigued faces enjoying a new, challenging learning experience.
