Y5 Primary Students Enjoy an Enrichment Science Lesson
Posted on: 23/01/2019This week at Barton Court Grammar School we welcomed over 40 Year 5 students to our Science Enrichment Workshop.
The children were able to enjoy experimenting with Bunsen Burners and different metals in our brand new science labs. Dr Mansfield and Mr Craddock introduced the students to lab safety and definitely ignited their scientific interest with their exciting experiments, including investigating why some materials burn in different ways to others. The gasps of wonder and enjoyment when Dr Mansfield’s magnesium burnt incredibly brightly were indication enough of the real engagement and enjoyment this week’s Year 5s experienced at our School. As ever, they were able to learn through collaborative challenge, under the instruction of enthused experts; the session was definitely a blazing success!
