Basketball Succes at the Kent Youth Games

The Year 10 Basketball team took part in the Kent Youth Games tournament at Medway Park in Gillingham in February.

 

Over twenty of the best teams  from all over Kent entered the competition and represented not only their School, but their District.

 

The Under 15 team played four games in the league stages and were unbeaten in all four games , only conceding one basket! As a consequence Barton Court finished top of the group and qualified for the ‘Championship’ knockout phases. In the knockout phases, the boys, again, played very well and won a further two matches against Northfleet School and Rainham Mark. After these two victories, we played in the semi-final and narrowly lost this game. To the overall winner(Skinners School).

 

We then played in the third and fourth place game and again played

some impressive Basketball and won the game to achieve a 3rd place finish overall in Kent!
