Barton Manor Topping Out Ceremony

Yesterday was a milestone event for the Barton Manor School, the Barton Court Academy Trust's new free School, with the Topping Out Ceremony attended by the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and the Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, the Lady Colgrain.

Thankfully the rain held off and the rooftop offered spectacular views across to Canterbury Cathedral.

With the build now gathering pace, this was an ideal opportunity to celebrate the achievement of all parties and give Governors, Trustees, Architects and local dignitaries the chance to see for themselves what a great asset to the community the School will be.

Barton Manor School opens in September 2022 to 150 Year 7 students.
