Jazz Journey Workshop
Posted on: 22/10/2021The Music Department was delighted to welcome back Joe Brown and Arthur O’Hara (Deal Music and Arts) to run a third Jazz Journey Workshop with 20 students from Y8 to Y12.
This was a project that initially ran from February to March 2020, so we are really pleased to get this up and running again.
Students were encouraged to explore a variety of genres, as well as being taught some advanced improvisational techniques. The session ended with a performance of ‘Caravan’, a challenging piece!
Our students have also been given the opportunity to attend a half term workshop run by the new South East NJYO Academy, which is a fantastic opportunity!
