Creative Arts Festival - July 2022
Posted on: 05/07/2022Barton Manor School hosted the first BCAT Trust Arts Festival which joined the creative arts departments from both Barton Court Grammar School and The Charles Dickens School. This was a wonderful showcase of Art, Design, Drama and Music from the fantastic students across both schools. The state-of-the-art facilities in the Main Hall at Barton Manor School welcomed the superb range of solo and group performances as well as sneak preview of songs from Grease which is the Summer showcase from the Music and Drama departments at Barton Court. The performers were extremely excited about performing in public for the first time in a very long time and the confidence they displayed throughout the evening was fantastic.
The main atrium at Barton Manor was transformed into an Art Gallery which displayed work from KS3, GCSE, A Level Art, Textiles, Photography and Product Design. The quality of work on display was brilliant and is a great example of the hard work and dedication that the students display throughout their projects.
The Festival was very well attended by VIPs, governors, teachers, parents and the students themselves. It was also lovely to see new students who are starting at Barton Manor school in September attend the festival and we hope they were inspired by the creativity from the students across the BCAT Trust.
