Kent School Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing

Barton Court Grammar School has been reaccredited with the Kent School Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing for the second time since the initial award was achieved in 2019.

The award recognises the School’s commitment as a whole school to support resilience and emotional wellbeing. Feedback on submission of the application to recertify highlighted the amount we do as a school with regards pupil voice and our continued efforts to engage with parents.

The award coordinator noted that: "it is extremely impressive to read the comments from Ofsted and how embedded resilience and wellbeing are across your whole school ethos and environment." This, alongside our achievement of the National Nurture School Award in September 2024 highlights the importance placed on pastoral care and supporting the wellbeing of our whole community; a commitment that we will continue to place at the forefront of our practices as a school.
