Bee Keeping club

The first group from the Bee Keeping Club had its inaugural visit to the apiary near Tyler Hall last week with more groups to follow over the Autumn.

Two bee hives were inspected and thankfully the frames with honeycomb were full of bees.  Protective clothing prevented anyone from being stung!

Over the coming months there will be bi-weekly lessons so students can learn more about the importance of bees and hopefully jars of honey will soon follow!
