The Trust
Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust which was established in 2017.
It currently consists of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years, mixed selective school in the heart of Canterbury, rated “Good” with many outstanding features by Ofsted in February 2020, and The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years mixed non-selective school in Broadstairs, which came out of special measures and is rated “Requires Improvement” by Ofsted in June 2019 and is a rapidly improving school. Barton Manor Free School, is an 11–18 years non-selective mixed school in the heart of Canterbury which opened to Year 7 in September 2022.
The Role
Required for September 2023 we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Teacher of Art to provide teaching and leadership at Barton Manor School (Y7-8 only in September) and teaching only (Ys7-13) at Barton Court Grammar School.
Barton Manor School is set to grow with each new year group in September at that point the successful applicant will focus on leadership at Barton Manor School only. We, therefore, welcome applications from those with a willingness for flexible working whilst Barton Manor grows.
