Super Curricular
In the Sixth Form at Barton Court Grammar School we are keen for our students to develop a passion for their learning that encapsulates all those activities that foster academic endeavour beyond the measurable outcomes of examination results. The Super-Curricular Programme will help students develop holistically during their time in the Sixth Form so they leave as well-rounded individuals with qualifications, skills and attributes to fully equip them for life post-18.
We want you to be curious about your subjects, delving deeper into the subjects that you enjoy most and tackle activities which will enhance your normal curriculum studies and show a passion that is not restricted by curriculum offer.
As such, please look through the Super Curricular ideas for your favourite subjects and pick some activities to continue your learning journey. This includes wider and habitual reading, project work, trips and visits, or local and national competitions to name a few.
It is recommended that all students engage widely in the suggested activities, especially for the subjects where you excel or wish to pursue further, whether this is through higher education, apprenticeships of employment.
As a Unifrog school it is important you use this platform to actively record the activities you participate in, helping you to create an online profile which will support you with personal statement, CV and cover letter writing in the future.
