BCGS Students Celebrate their A Level & BTEC Results
Posted on: 15/08/2024Students at Barton Court received their Year 13 A Level and BTEC results on Thursday 15 August and deserve huge credit for the success they have achieved.
Headteacher Jonathan Hopkins commented:
“We are delighted that so many of our students have achieved grades that are enabling them to progress to university or secure high quality employment opportunities. As a year group our Year 13 students were both talented and hard-working. We are pleased that yet again over half of the grades for this cohort were at A*-B at 58% – which reflects a very strong set of results. This is higher than the pre-pandemic average of 54% (2017-19). The overall pass rate was 99%.
Particular mention must be made of 23 students, out of our cohort of 129, who have been awarded three or more A/A* or D* grades in their subjects – this represents over 18% of the cohort. In addition, there are 47 students who have achieved at least three B grades or above.
Significantly, 71 students got at least one A/A* or Distinction* grade and 99 students achieved at least one B/A/D* grade or above.
Clearly, so many students have much to be pleased with! Next Thursday our attention will turn to Year 11, but today is important to recognise the achievements of our Year 13 students.
